Quick Tips to Finesse Your Running Technique
-
Focus on running light on your feet. Running more quietly will put less load through the knees, shins and ankles and reduce the risk of shin splints.
-
To practice running soft you can use a skipping rope and land really light, this will help your landing technique.
-
Try and land on your mid-foot and increase your cadence up to 180-190 steps per minute.
-
Avoid heel-striking as it will bugger your knees, while too much force through the ball of the foot can cause harm to your ankles.
-
Also, when running relax your upper body, your shoulders and your mind!
